J. Crew, promo models put a new spin on retail promotion

The fashionable clothing retailer J.Crew created their own holiday "National Stripes Day." They promote this event every year at locations around the country by creating a specific line of merchandise. Kinetic Events' promo models were hired to drive customers into the store by promoting their sale on anything with stripes and informing consumers about the free striped tote with every purchase. Our promotional models encouraged people to take pictures in front of the Mini Cooper stationed in front of the store, to then post on social media. They also were required to be knowledgeable about the car as well, and inform customers about specific fun facts provided by Mini Cooper USA.

J.Crew program goals

  • Welcome and engage with the public outside the store 
  • Encourage customers to come into the store by promoting their exclusive sales
  • Increase sales by giving customers entering the store a card for 40% off, that is only valid for the holiday.
  • Make sure consumers are aware of the free striped tote they receive with any purchase
  • Promote the usage of the hashtag #NationalStripesDay while taking pictures in front of the Mini Cooper in their striped clothing
  • Knowledgeable about fun facts given by Mini Cooper USA in case of inquiries
