Las Vegas Fashion Week and CES often cause havoc when hiring for promo model gigs. The market becomes very competitive, prices go up, and we often sell out. We suggest thinking well in advance on these weeks. For CES, we often get calls in August for the following year's conference. We suggest making early commitments for promo models. Recent promotional model programs in Las Vegas include work with Refinery 29, Sony, Malibu rum, and the National Home Builders Conference.
Brand ambassadors in Las Vegas is a broad term, encompassing product launch teams, street teams, experiential marketing, trade show booth demos and more. There are unique considerations for each type of brand ambassador staffing assignment. Street teams and experiential marketing efforts in Las Vegas need to make special consideration of the highly tourist focused nature of the Las Vegas Strip. Consumers on the strip are inundated with low-brow promotions. Because of this, they often tune out to any kind of consumer product. Nearby suburbs like Henderson or Summerlin offer a much more residential consumer base that are often more receptive to street team efforts. In Expo and trade show settings, experiential marketing and street team efforts are much more successful when positioned inside the convention centers themselves or very near attendee concentrations.
